On the 6th of December, Nomen Police Department (NPD) proudly announced that they caught the sneaky burglar who has been terrorizing the city the past couple of weeks. The burglar was caught red-handed by detective Pete Williams.
At around 5 o’clock in the morning, Pete Williams heard an intruder in his home. “As soon as I heard a noise of somebody walking in my home, I immediately got up and took my gun. The burglar was not really smart as he left the lights on everywhere and he was being loud in general. I caught him red-handed and could not believe my eyes when I identified the burglar” said detective Pete Williams.
The burglar at detective Williams’s house is the same burglar who had stolen from the mayor’s office and from various boutiques in the city.
Cameras at the crime scenes have identified the thief as a 36-year-old homeless male. His identity will remain anonymous.
The NPD had been looking for the thief but could never apprehend him in time. This time he was not so lucky as he walked right into the lion’s den.
It is unclear what the thief’s motive is, but the man seems mentally ill. However, he is not violent and immediately surrendered himself when detective Williams caught him. His actions are being investigated and the man is still being interrogated by the NPD.
Detective Williams added: “It’s an eerie feeling that someone can just enter your home, your safe space like that. Luckily thanks to the training at the NPD, I was alert and I could arrest the thief without using any violence.”
